Jimmy is a motocamping vlogger. Destined not to live from 'Cradle to Cubicle to Grave', he saved up for a motorcycle and purchased video equipment.

Utilizing video production skills he developed as a hobby making home movies as a teenager, he purchased software and dusted off the cobwebs.

Still practicing and honing his craft, the project has certainly taken him places.

For most of the year you'll find Jimmy creating footage.
During harsh Minnesotan winters you'll find him editing and uploading content.

His topics include the 1862 Minnesotan Dakota War, the history of the Black Hills, and a soon-to-be-released season on a 1-man motocamping trip from Minnesota to the Pacific ocean and back.
In other videos you'll see him speak to current events, critiquing motorists (as well as himself), and story telling.

Story

What's the Plan?

To be honest it came from watching travel YouTube Vloggers. I've always loved travel.

Many people, when travel-writing and -vlogging, report on things to do for adventure seekers, lovers of art, ecotourism, nightlife, etc.

The history of the region or place is normally an introduction, but not the focus of a travel piece.

I believe that every location and attraction has a story to tell. Many of them start in the past and run right into the present when I come across it.

Many amazing stories aren't very well known, not even to those living where they occured!

So far, season 2 of 2W1C is about a war that happened right here in our state when Minnesota was young and known as 'the frontier'. It affected thousands of lives and was talked about for generations. The oldest Minnesotans today could have had grandparents in the conflict, which is stifling to think about! What's surprising is how little we know about the characters or details.

Names such as Sibley, Ramsey, Shakopee, Mankato, Little Six, Wilder, Flandrau, Mayo.. all these names are familiar to us as locations or companies. They were real people with ambitions, adversaries, tragedies, and parts to play in a much less stable time. Some met horrible ends. Some are remembered fondly or revered, while others are either despised or forgotten.

Season 2 started out as just Motocamping, Vlogging, and being a tourist.

I'd find attractions and visit them, get footage, and talk to the locals wherever I can. Museums are always my favorite place to get caught up in conversation.

After learning the stories of the places I visit I've found out that not only is history fluid but it's also cyclical. I'm seeing patterns arise that we're seeing today.
